Our Lady Finds A Home In Tayabas Basilica
Before sunrise on March 4, 2018, the Propagation Externa team of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal National Shrine Parish (OLMMNSP) started their journey to Tayabas, Quezon.
They arrived at the Minor Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel, commonly known as the Tayabas Basilica, in time for the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Mass.
Rev. Msgr. Romel C. Ansay welcomed and introduced their special guests from OLMMNSP led by its Shrine Rector — Rev. Fr. Francisco Nicolas P. Magnaye, Jr., C.M.
Afterwards, the two priests proceeded with the installation ceremony of the five-foot tall image of the Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal (OLMM).
The OLMM image was given to Tayabas Basilica through the benevolence of an OLMMNSP couple — Mr. Gerry Ansay, a native of Tayabas, and his wife Doris — who are both members of the OLMMNSP Propagation Externa team.

Truly, the parishioners of Tayabas Basilica have received a priceless gift for they will always have the image of Our Lady in their midst.
After the incensation of the image of the OLMM, Fr. Magnaye and Msgr. Ansay moved to the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
In his homily, Fr. Magnaye dwelt on the subject of having only one God; of focusing our attentions to Him; and of not forgetting God's goodness.
He also cited a famous quote of St. John Mary Vianney — patron saint of priests — by translating it in Filipino as "Ang taong hindi tatanggap sa Panginoon ay tulad ng isang taong namatay sa uhaw na katabi ang batis."
After the final blessing, Msgr. Ansay and Fr. Magnaye knelt in front of the image of the OLMM and prayed the Act of Entrustment to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. Then Fr. Magnaye blessed the Miraculous Medals courtesy of the Ansay family.
More than one thousand Miraculous Medals were distributed by the Propagation Externa team — headed by Dr. Lina Molera — to the churchgoers who eagerly trooped in front of the altar for the imposition of medals.

With the image of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal permanently residing inside their Basilica and with the Miraculous Medals around their necks, the parishioners of the Minor Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel or Tayabas Basilica went home thankful, joyful and full of blessings.
O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
